Supporting Our Community

Giving back to our local community is very important to us. We work closely with our community network, volunteering our time and skills to support local events. We also actively contribute to fundraising efforts for local charities and initiatives wherever we can.

Charlton Community Trust

We have recently collaborated with Charlton Community Trust to support them in providing Financial Education in their community and to a number of schools in London and the South East.

Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT) is a non-profit organisation that operates in South East London and areas of Kent. They focus on delivering a variety of projects and activities that aim to bring about social change, empower local communities, and address issues related to health, crime, education, and employment.

University of Greenwich (UoG) works very closely with their partnership Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT) they will be delivering an exciting new pre-16 programme focused on raising aspirations, preparing and empowering young people for their next steps, as well as building skills and confidence for life after school. The aim is to ensure that young people feel more positive about their futures, increase their ambitions, and develop essential life skills.

This programme is called Make it Make Sense (MIMS). Which is to help to make life after school and the future make sense.  The programme is aimed at Year 9 and 10 students and is divided into five categories which are delivered on a flexible schedule.

1.    Confidence Building and Raising Aspirations
2.    Financial Education and Problem Solving
3.    Careers and Role Modelling
4.    Qualifications and Personal Development
5.    Mental Health and Resilience

Adams & Bowles will be working with Charlton Community Trust and University of Greenwich in delivering Financial Education and Problem Solving.  They will work with school’s individual needs and requirements to create a bespoke programme to deliver MIMS.
